Amur leopard standing on a snowy rock in a winter forest

Primorye: Waiting for the Amur Leopard

A winter stay inside the forests of the Russian Far East

About

BBT designed this winter journey around time in the habitat of the Amur leopard, not the promise of a sighting on a scheduled excursion. Five nights in a planned private forest observation residence allow guests to watch through panoramic windows while park specialists monitor the surrounding area; discreet wrist alerts are intended for confirmed animal appearances. Meetings with conservation scientists, an optional walk through protected forest and a return to Vladivostok connect the animals’ presence with the people and landscape involved in protecting them.
